Maple Wanlnut Blondies
Ingredients
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp maple extract
3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
White Chocolate Maple Glaze
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp maple syrup
Directions
preheat oven to 350, line 8x8 baking tray with parchment paper
in a bowl whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, set aside
melt butter, in a separate large bowl whip butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add in egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and maple. Mix until fully combined.
Fold in flour with a rubber spatula halfway, add chopped dark chocolate and chopped walnuts. Continue folding until fully combined.
pour and spread evenly into a baking tray and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the middle is set
to make the white chocolate maple glaze, melt butter in a bowl, add in chocolate chips, salt, and maple syrup, mix. Melt this in the microwave for about 30 seconds and mix well, repeat 1 more time. Put into a Ziploc bag, push the mixture into a corner of the bag, and cut the tip-off.
Once the Blondie comes out let it cool for at least 30 minutes, you don’t want the glaze to melt. Once completely cooled pipe the glaze any way that you like, I did zig-zag.
ENJOY!
