Valentines Rice Crispy

I eyeballed this recipe so these measurements are not exact, but you can play around with it. If you think it’s too wet add more cereal, if it’s too dry add more marshmallows. This is super foolproof if you just take it slow. Also, very important, don’t add too much rice cereal because it will be dry and not good. To make it Valentine’s Day themed I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter but you can just cut it into squares, up to you.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups rice cereal

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 2 cups marshmallow

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • Optional Ghiradelli melting chocolate

  • Optional, sprinkles of your choice

    Directions

  • line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper

  • in a pot on medium heat melt the unsalted butter, add in the vanilla extract and salt, and stir to combine

  • add in the rice cereal, and mix until combined, put the mixture in the 8x8 baking pan and press down into an even layer, place this in the fridge for 1 hour

  • After it's done chilling, use your heart-shaped cookie cutter, and drizzle melted chocolate, add sprinkles of choice, and ENJOY!
