Peppermint Chocolate Cheesecake

This is a very complicated recipe BUT it is so delicious. I made this for Christmas Eve and everyone loved it so so much. This cheesecake has an Oreo crust with peppermint and chocolate filling. SO SO GOOD!

Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 1/12 cups smashed Oreos without cream

  • 4tbs butter

  • 1/4 cup sugar

Filling:

  • 32 ounces cream cheese, room temp

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2/3 cup whole milk

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 tbs vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 3/4 cup mini semisweet choco chips, 3/4 cup Andies Peppermint crunch baking chips

Ganache

  • 1 cup semisweet choco chips

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:

I am going to try and make this as simple as possible, but I am trying my best :)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Crust:

  • mash up Oreos and remove the filling, melt 5tbs butter and combine with oreos

  • grease cheesecake springform pan with nonstick cooking spray, pour the Oreo mixture in the pan and spread and press down evenly up the sides and on the bottom

Filling

  • In a bowl combine cream cheese, sugar and milk. next add in eggs mixing one at a time, sour cream and vanilla extract. Mix until completely comnines

  • In separate bowl put in flour, and baking chips. Mix together. Add the flour mixture into wet mixture and combine well.

  • pour filling into pan and spread over crust evenly

  • bake for 1 hour after turn off the oven, open the door a couple of inches to let the heat out and let it cool for 1 additional hour.

    Ganache

  • put baking chips in bowl and in milk and microwave for 1 minute, stir it should be a little runny but still has a thickness to it.

  • when cake is completely cool spread over top

  • crush up candy canes and sprinkle on top

  • And Enjoy!
