Ingredients
1 stick of salted butter cut into cubes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar packed
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans
5-6 peaches cut into wedges
3 tbsp maple syrup
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees, pur cubed butter in a 9x13 baking pan, and place in oven to melt for 10 minutes
To make the batter stir the flour stir the flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add in the milk, vanilla, and chopped pecans and mix until just combined.
In a separate bowl toss the peaches with 1/4 cup brown sugar and maple syrup, take the melted butter out of the oven, and lay half the peaches on top of the butter in the pan. Then pour the batter on top, do not stir. Layer the remaining peaches on top of the batter. It will look like you did something wrong and that is perfect. Bake for 50-55 minutes until the center is just set and the edges begin to brown.
Once out of the oven let cool for 20 minutes, and serve this warm with vanilla ice cream. ENJOY!
