Famous PB & J

I made this in honor of my friends because everyday for lunch they will always have the famous Pb&J. It’s a staple, we can all agree on that. This cookie is just perfection for those Pb lovers out there. The tangy sweetness of the jam with the nutty saltiness of the Pb makes such good combo.

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/3 cups all-purpose flour 

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup PB chips, this is vital

  • any kind of jelly you like, and however much you want to put in each cookie depends on the size of the cookie you make

    Instructions:

  • in a bowl add flour, baking soda, salt

  • in another bowl combine butter and both sugars until completely smoothe add egg mix until light and airy.

  • add vanilla and PB mix well, add in chips

  • combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients mix, add in PB chips

  • cool dough about 1 hour

  • form dough into a ball and form a hole in the middle and plop jelly in there cover the hole with dough

  • roll ball in white sugar

  • once done place on baking sheet and put in the oven for about 12 mins depending on the size of cookies the time will vary
