Brown Butter Apple Spice Cookies
These are the ultimate fall cookies, they have fresh chopped apples, lots of warm spices, and a delicious brown butter base. It's so good and perfect for a chilly fall day.
Ingredients
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup cane sugar
1 cup browned unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cloves, nutmeg, and ginger
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large apples chopped well into small pieces
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350 and line the baking sheet with parchment paper
Brown butter in a sauce-pan on medium heat, check frequently
Chopp apples into very small pieces, set aside
in a bowl whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside
Mix brown butter and both sugars in a separate bowl until smooth. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix until fully combined and lightened in color.
Pour 1/2 of the dry ingredients into the wet and fold with a spatula. Add in the chopped apple and mix completely. Add in the rest of the flour mixture and mix until fully combined.
Scoop dough into balls and bake for about 15 minutes, depending on how big you made the cookies the time will vary.
These cookies go perfectly with vanilla ice cream. ENJOY!!!
